Real patients offer hopeful and helpful advice to others who may face skin cancer.
If somebody came and told me that they were just diagnosed with cancer, the first thing I would say is, “Don’t be afraid.”
Learn as much as you can. Knowledge is power. And then back that up with talking with your doctors. I honestly feel like the more you know about it, the more power you have over it.
Do what they tell you to do and follow through. And make sure that you do that, so that it doesn’t spread. And that’s the important thing, keeping it from spreading.
And make any lifestyle changes you need to make, so that it doesn’t happen again.
Be strong. And don’t give up.
